1. Messenger Coffee Co.
Messenger Coffee Co. not only has an amazing atmosphere but wonderful coffee and baked goods. It is located off Grand Blvd in the heart of Kansas City and provides a lot of seating if individuals choose to stay and study or work. If you choose to venture to the top of the building, it also offers a great view of the city. I recommend their traditional cappuccino and a warm croissant.
2. Vested Coffee
A new coffee shop located off Eighth Street, Vested Coffee offers wonderful sandwiches and coffee and to support its mission. The shop gives 10 percent of their proceeds to local non-profit organizations to improve the Kansas City community. I recommend the onyx latte and one of their delicious sandwiches for lunch.
3. Thee Outpost
Thee Outpost is located in the Kansas City Crossroads district. Not only do they offer a neat study environment and great coffee, but they also serve coffee manufactured and roasted by Thou Mayest coffee roasters that you can purchase. I recommend their iced caramel latte.
4. Quay Coffee
Located in the River Market, Quay Coffee offers a nice place to study and delicious coffee. Known for their pour over coffee, they boast high quality and bold flavors. I recommend their traditional cappuccino with their house-made spiced brown sugar syrup.
5. Post Coffee
Located in Lees Summit, Post Coffee Co. offers an amazing study atmosphere and great coffee. Their chai latte with oat milk is one of the best lattes that I have ever had. They offer baked goods as well.
6. Gusto Coffee Bistro
Located in Lees Summit, Gusto Coffee has a vast coffee selection and delicious sandwiches and burritos. The atmosphere is quiet enough to study all day. I enjoy the hot mocha latte and their breakfast burrito. They also carry beautiful handmade chocolates.
7. Hammerhand Coffee
Hammerhand Coffee is located on the Liberty Square and offers lots of coffee and non-coffee options, as well as baked treats. My favorite drink is their iced caramel latte, but if I feel like tea I get their iced jasmine green tea.
8. Overflow Coffee House
Located in Liberty, Overflow Coffee is a great environment for studying. They offer lots of coffee options and are known for their specialty crepes. They also collect books for non-profit organizations and have a monthly community focus organization to which they donate a portion of their profits.
9. Pilgrim Coffee Company
Located in Overland Park, Kansas, Pilgrim Coffee Company offers wonderful coffee selections. I love their mocha, which is made with kyya chocolate. They also have great sandwiches and burritos.
10. Headrush Roasters Coffee and Tea
Headrush Roasters has locations off of North Oak Trafficway in Kansas City and off North Mulberry Drive in Briarcliff Village. They micro-roast all of their coffee beans on-site and offer a wide selection of different loose teas. I recommend their lavender latte.
