The National Balloon Classic is an annual event held in Indianola, IA, at which hot air balloon pilots from across the nation compete for points and prizes. The 2019 classic, held July 24-Aug. 1, featured pilots from 15 different states. This year’s winner was Branden Bloom of Indianola, IA, flying the balloon “Royal Racer.”
