Photo Feature: Winter Summit of Longs Peak

Photographer Chandler Eaton summited Rocky Mountain National Park’s 14’er on February 3, 2017.

The Keyhole route’s tongue-in-cheek name is the “fried egg” route, due to the clearly marked bulls eyes, which debatably protect the resource by keeping climbers on trail but question the integrity of the climb.

It was not only my first winter 14’er but also the first for one of my partners Hänna Hagen.
