This week is homecoming week, which means there are lots of fun events planned throughout the course of the week. Here’s a quick rundown on this week’s events that you don’t want to miss.
Starting off on Monday, the Back to the 80’s Greene Games will be at 8 p.m. at Greene Stadium. There will be competitions such as the human pyramid, food relay and egg toss.
There is another homecoming event Wednesday.. College Union Activities (CUA) is hosting something called Jewellstock. There will be food and fun on the First-Year Triangle, so if you are getting tired of the caf food, stop by at 6 p.m.
Back to the 80’s Campus Sing is this Thursday at 8 p.m. in the Mabee Center. Campus sing is a singing and dancing competition between teams of sorority and fraternity members. It also celebrates the football team. It’s a really fun time, so come to this event if you can.
Homecoming week wraps up with a couple of sporting events, the first being a volleyball game where the Cardinals will take on the University of Southern Indiana. The game is at 7 p.m. in the Mabee. There will be a homecoming costume contest at halftime, and this is a great opportunity to cheer on the volleyball team. And in case you needed an extra incentive, this event is worth triple points for The Nest.
Saturday is the homecoming football game versus Missouri S&T. The game begins at 5 p.m. and is located at Greene Stadium. The homecoming coronation and the announcement of the Stocksdale competition winner will all take place during halftime. On top of all that, the event is a good way to meet William Jewell College alumni and is worth double Nest points. With all that’s going on, the stadium should be filled with red on Saturday.
