Annual music festival transforms downtown streets

For five days every year the streets of downtown Lincoln, Neb. are transformed with live music, art and cultural workshops during the annual Lincoln Calling non-profit festival. This year’s festival took place Sept. 18-22 and featured over 80 music groups in eight different venues.

Organizers of the event partnered with the Lincoln Arts Festival, Make Lincoln event, Young Professionals week and start up week to bring more activities to attendees. This year’s festival focused on sustainability and committed to a zero waste policy throughout the event, providing mobile water stations and recycling units for patrons throughout the downtown area.
